Atlantic Breaks Ground at MKC
To accommodate the growing needs of tenants and transients in Kansas City, Atlantic Aviation begins construction on Hangar 11, the third hangar built in 5 years on Atlantics’ leasehold at Charles B. Wheeler, Downtown Airport.
The Hangar will be large enough to accommodate a G650 with 19,676 sq ft of hangar space and 6,460 sq ft of office/shop space, and includes common kitchen, galley and lobby areas.
“Atlantic continues to focus on staying green, and will use translucent panels to illuminate the facility in addition to other energy saving initiatives”, stated Tim Bannon the Regional Vice President of Operations.
The Hangar was designed by Dye Aviation from Atlanta, Ga and the General Contractor is Titan Built from Olathe, KS. Completion is expected by December 2015.
